Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions players and parents ask most.

General

What makes Scholarship Soccer different from other agencies?

We’re not a “factory” agency. Scholarship Soccer offers a premium, highly personalized service backed by first-hand NCAA and NJCAA playing experience. We understand the journey — both on and off the pitch — and guide players with tailored support every step of the way. We’re not here to send you anywhere — we place you where you’ll thrive.

Who do you work with?

We support boys and girls aged 16–20 from the UK, Europe, and the Middle East (Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia) who are serious about playing college soccer in the U.S. You don’t need to be a youth international — but you do need commitment, ambition, and talent.

Is this only for elite players?

No. While we work with top players, we also place talented individuals across all levels — NCAA Division 1, 2, 3, NAIA, and NJCAA. Our job is to assess your ability and help you secure the best-fit opportunity based on your goals and skillset.

Can you help players who’ve already graduated or started university?

Yes. We work with players in gap years, current university students, and even transfers looking to restart their U.S. college journey. Each case is assessed individually for eligibility and academic fit.

Do you work with goalkeepers?

Yes. Goalkeepers are often in high demand with fewer roster spots available, which is why quality representation is even more important. If you're a consistent shot-stopper with good footage, we’ll help get your profile in front of the right coaches.

The Process

How long does the process take?

The ideal timeline is 12–18 months before you plan to start college, but we’ve supported successful placements in less than 6 months. The earlier you start, the more scholarship options you'll have.

What happens after I apply?

You’ll be contacted for a consultation within 48 hours. If you're a good fit, we'll start with a full player assessment, build your recruitment profile, and develop a customized strategy that includes video support, academic planning, and targeted outreach to U.S. college coaches.

Do you guarantee a scholarship?

No agency can ethically guarantee a scholarship. But we do guarantee that your profile will be seen by coaches, your talent will be represented professionally, and you’ll receive world-class support throughout your journey.

What if I don’t get a full scholarship?

Many players receive partial scholarships covering tuition, accommodation, or meals. Even partial offers can significantly reduce your costs. We’ll help you compare and negotiate offers to make the best decision financially and athletically.

Do I need an SAT or ACT score?

Not always. Many colleges have gone test-optional or accept alternatives like the Duolingo English Test. We’ll recommend the right path based on your target colleges and guide you through the process.

International Players

Do you help players in the Middle East?

Yes. We specialize in supporting players from Dubai, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. We understand the local football landscape and offer services including in-person consultations, travel planning, and academic guidance tailored to the region.

Is it harder to get recruited from the UK or Middle East?

No — not with the right exposure. U.S. coaches actively seek international players who bring different tactical styles and high levels of maturity. We help bridge the gap with professional video, academic translation, and coach communication.

Will I receive support after I arrive in the U.S.?

Yes. We’re with you beyond placement. From visa prep and cultural transition advice to helping with transfers or challenges in the U.S., we stay in contact to ensure your success long after arrival.
